This beautiful clack was handmade on the island of Bali.

The clack is made from wood and has been carved into the image of a gecko. After carving, the clack has been carefully hand painted using the traditional art of dot painting. This means that each drop of paint is individually applied to the gecko in order to produce a pattern.

This is a very easy musical instrument to play. All you need to do is hold one or both ends and make the surfaces collide. This will produce a loud percussive sound. If you've got children they'll love this unusual clack (though it might end up driving you crazy!).
