Native American Tomahawk (EUROPE ONLY)

War Axe used by Native Americans. Made with real bone!

£14.99

A great ethnic gift idea from HandcraftedUK!

The tomahawk was a war axe used by the Native Americans when fighting European invasion. It was used in hand-to-hand combat and could also be thrown as a missile. Besides being used as a weapon the tomahawk was also used in ceremonies and became a symbol of leadership. Whenever peace was declared a tomahawk was buried in the earth and thus was born the phrase 'burying the hatchet'.

This
replication Native American tomahawk has been handmade from wood, hessian, faux fur and feathers. The head of the tomahawk is made from real sheep's jaw bone (not as gross as it sounds!) and would be a brilliant item for those who are interested in Native American culture.

Measures 51cm (20") in length and 27cm (10.5") in diameter.

Please note: Due to the fact the tomahawk is made from real bone it is unable to clear through customs. Therefore, this tomahawk can only be sent to addresses in Europe.

This is just one of the lovely unique gifts available from HandcraftedUK. For more gift ideas please take a look around our store. You're sure to find the perfect gift for that special occasion!
