The Antara is an instrument that is similar to the panpipe. Panpipes played an important part in Incan Culture as the men believed the whistling from the instrument was a means to communicate with the Gods. This Antara has been handmade in Peru and imported into the UK.

The Antara consists of one row of fifteen pipes and measures a large 30cm (12") in length by 23cm (9") in diameter. A colourful woven border decorates the top of the instrument and the pipes have been finished with a dark varnish to give them an eye-catching appearance.

This Antara would be an ideal gift to give to those who like to collect unusual musical instruments or are interested in Native American culture.
