The Tarka is the traditional flute of the Andes. Handmade by Peruvian artisans, these square flutes are carved with traditional South American images and hand painted with earthy colours.

This Tarka comes with a fipple shaped mouthpiece (similar to a recorder) and has six finger holes. Playing the instrument produces a soft and mellow sound. Whilst not being played the Tarka also looks great as a display piece - Stand it up on it's base and it resembles a Totem pole!
