The Zampona is an instrument that is similar to the panpipe. Panpipes played an important part in Incan Culture as the men believed the whistling from the instrument was a means to communicate with the Gods. This Zampona has been handmade in Peru and imported into the UK.

The Zampona (also referred to as a Siku) consists of two rows and a total number of thirteen pipes. This Zampona measures a large 57cm (22.5") in length by 10cm (4") in diameter. A colourful woven border decorates the top of the instrument and the pipes have been finished with a dark varnish to give them an eye-catching appearance.

This Zampona would be an ideal gift to give to those who like to collect unusual musical instruments or are interested in Peruvian culture.
