£23.99

A great unique gift idea from HandcraftedUK!

This is an unusual collection of musical instruments from South America. It contains the following items:

Rainstick - Made from eulychnia in the Atacama Desert, North Chile. Rotating this stick sounds like a tropical downpour as the internal cacti leaves fall to the bottom. These sticks are used in Chilean culture to call to the Gods for rain during periods of drought. The rainstick measures 15cm (6") in length.

Cha Cha - Seeds from the Amazonian rainforest are sewn together and worn around the wrist, whilst dancing, to produce a lovely percussive sound. This cha cha measures 16cm (6") in length.

Ocarina
- This musical instrument from
Peru is played like a recorder. The hands are placed next to each other and by moving your fingers across the holes, the pitch of the notes can be changed. This ocarina measures 10cm (4") in length.

Pan Pipes - This musical instrument was used in Native Incan culture. The men thought that the whistling from the instrument would communicate with the Gods. These pan pipes measure 15cm (6") in length.

Monkey Drum - Rolling this drum in the palm of the hands produces a percussive sound. Changing the pace of the roll varies the rhythm. This monkey drum measures 15cm (6") in length.
