Here is a beautiful hand carved wooden figure of a reclining buddha.

This pose of the Buddha is commonly called the Reclining Buddha, Laying Buddha or the Dying Buddha. He is shown leaving his physical form and passing into nirvana, depicted as dying peacefully as he has comprehended that physical death is only a transition to a transcendental state. His physical body has been released from the endless cycle of rebirth.

He is clothed in flowing Buddhist robes which are carved onto the figure. The robe has gorgeous gold crackles of glazing that give the piece a nice contrast of tones and subtle colour. His left hand gently holds a lotus flower. His hair is in tight curls with a flame at the top of his head, symbolising his wisdom.

Reclining Buddha in wood effect finish: Measures at 37cm (14.5") in length, 18cm (7") in height and 10cm (4") in diameter.
