He is depicted to have identified two paramount mental qualities that arise from meditative practice: serenity and insight.
Through the meditative development of serenity, one is able to surpress passing distractions. It is through this meditative development of insight where we gain liberating wisdom.
This buddha is hand carved from wood and painted in a glossy silver tone, with black shades to give the carving focal depth.
